Posted on 11/16/2021
Two Palm Beach County School District students are the winners of the Tri-County Animal Rescue's American Military Hero Dog Monument naming contest.

Tyler LeClair from Eagles Landing Middle had the idea to name the dog CAMAN, an acronym representing the branches of the armed forces; Coast Guard, Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy. Aurora Ashcroft from Jupiter Elementary came up with the name Valor.

As such, the statue displayed outside the Tri-County Animal Rescue building will bear the name CAMAN VALOR. Both students will receive $2,500 and their respective schools will each receive $2,500.
